Departure from the campsite towards Chanaz. 45mins
Let's discover the Lac du Bourget with the charming village of Chanaz. With its enchanting setting, its flower-filled alleys, its crafts and its canals, Chanaz is a stop not to be missed during your visit to Savoie.
You can park in the paying car park on rue de la Passerelle, near the "Sales goss" barge.
If not, cross the village of Chanaz following the Canal road, and take the D921 on your left. You will cross the bridge and turn left again on rue de l'écluse, follow the signs for "parking". From the car park a small pedestrian path takes you to the center of the village of Chanaz.
In the village, take the opportunity to stroll through its picturesque streets and alleys and discover its many shops selling arts, crafts and local produce : We recommend you the Oil Mill, the coffee roaster or the chocolate factory...
For the Lunch Break, there are many restaurants along the Canal, but I advise you, "l'Ail des Ours" (73 Ruelle du Moulin) to have tested it, Discover a new mill, renovated and transformed into a restaurant. On the terrace, by the stream, enjoy a simple and family cuisine, made with fresh and seasonal products. Advance booking recommended, Calm and total change of scenery (no special menus for children).
Then, cross the bridge (the one next to the "sales goss" barge) to rent an electric boat from Bateau Bleu du Canal.
What could be better than visiting Chanaz while sailing on the water?
Once parked, cross the bridge to hire an electric boat (up to 7 places, reserved in advance at the reception of the campsite) to discover the Savières canal and the magnificent panorama on arrival on the lake (from 25€ to 180€ depending on the duration).
On the way back : we adviced you a stop in Ontex viewpoint (15mins) :

Take the time to enjoy a cocktail, or even a meal with this breathtaking view.
