Walks and hikes are also possible from the caves.

Breathtaking views of the Ravoire plain, Entre Deux Guiers, St Laurent du Pont and below St Christophe la Grotte.

I adviced you the visit at 11.00am, so that you can eat on the magnificient terrace of the Auberge du Thimelet.

"Take a pretty little village, hang it on the mountain and add a good dose of breathtaking views, you will get the commune of "Corbel"". Located 13 mins from the cave.

Then continue to the Cirque de St Même, on the road you will pass in front of the Entremonts dairy cooperative (16mins). I recommend you a stop at the store. You will find all the cheeses made at the cooperative and much more… goat cheese, sheep cheese, cold meat, wines, jams… direct from local farmers and artisans.

Direction St Pierre d’Entremont, once out of the small village, the road continues to Saint Même du Haut (25 mins). Here, a parking is available for hikers. Be careful, it is paying during the holidays (3.50€).

An exceptional natural site at the foot of the Hauts de Chartreuse Nature Reserve, the circus offers a walk between forest and torrent to discover its waterfalls.

A vast meadow at the bottom of the Cirque welcomes hikers to relax and picnic.

A 1½-hr signposted walking circuit allows you to explore the three lower waterfalls. Another waymarked footpath connects the cirque to Saint-Pierre d'Entremont.

Then return to the campsite, in 55 minutes.
